Gods & Monsters 3: The Phantom of the Opera

New Drawings

Here are a few initial drawings designed to be exhibited as a series of many.

They are partly inspired by Francisco Goya's prints, in particular his 'The Disaster of Wars' series and the imagery in the drawings is taken directly from George Franju's 1949 documentary on the daily workings of a Parisian abattoir 'Les Sanges Des Betes'.

As with Goya's work I intend the drawings to express and comment on the brutality of man, war, society, violence etc...
